The Sandbach food bank is a Churches Together in Sandbach initiative led by Sandbach Methodist Church. Food is donated by local people and stored in the Wesley Centre.
We have formal arrangements for referrals from several local agencies. All food parcels are by referral only, as we do not have the expertise or resources to decide whether someone is in need of our help in this way.
The Sandbach food bank was formally started up in April 2013, and we currently deliver up to about 5 food parcel per week, with an average of between 2 and 3 parcels. Recipients live in Sandbach or one of the surrounding villages, and are always very grateful for the help we give them. We generally deliver the food to the individuals, but in some situations it is collected by the recipient. The list of agencies from which we accept referrals is:
We continue to collect non-perishable food stuffs and toiletries as per the shopping list shown to the left, please make sure all items are well within their best before date. Thank you for your continued support.
